New Beginning.................
I remember back in the hot summer of '02, during yet another after hours lager in a local public house (unnamed for legal reasons), a couple of slightly alcohol influenced friends thought of an idea starting a football team. This idea was brought in to reality when on 24th September of that year, the now current Chairman, Treasurer, Captain and Star defender, Daniel Logan met with a colleague known as Anthony "Caddick, 12ers, Windmill, Grey-haired waz" Robinson.
The two discussed plans for this team and have elected to grace the the astro-turf of the Blackburn Rovers Indoor Centre. As the board of directors we have spent many an hour sifting through applications for squad positions but in the end we have arrived at what we see as the "future" of Cherry Tree Football Club.
Both myself and Tony think this is the start of many great things to come. |
