Directions to CMB Sports Ground

We have our own ground with changing facilities. The ground is situated at the corner of Lock Lane and New Tempest Road/Tempest Road in Chew Moor, Lostock. It is called Chew Moor Brook Sports Club and has a sign at the entrance

If you are coming via the motorway you need to come off the M61 at Junction 5. As you exit the motorway you can then either:
(A) head for Bolton along A58. Then follow route 1 below (a little under 1.5 miles from M61 Junction 5)
or
(B) head for Westhoughton/Wigan along A58. After 200 metres you reach Chequerbent Roundabout. Turn right at roundabout onto A6 heading North and then follow route 2 below (ground is 1.5 miles from here).

Local routes

Route 1- Along Wigan Road, turn into Lock Lane (which has a small harware shop one one corner and some new flats where the LONDIS shop used to be on the other corner). Follow Lock Lane (cobbled road) for three quarters of a mile. At the end you'll see the pitches on the right. Turn right then right again into Tempest Road to access car park.

Route 2- head north up the A6; at crossroads with White Horse on corner turn right into Bolton Road then immediately left onto Chew Moor Road, going under motorway, until it becomes Tempest Road. Go past Tempest United's ground on the right and then go past a few shops. CMB's Ground and Car Park are on the right. There is a bus stop and Chew Moor Brook Sports Club sign at the gates.

Route 3- along Beaumont Rd, turn at lights half way along Beaumont Road into Junction Road towards Lostock. Turn left at bottom, go past Lostock community centre on right and new Ladybridge pitch on left. After 400 yards our ground is on the left-at the bus stop turn into car park.
