ABOUT US!!!

like i have already said on my welcome page, we are from Denton in Manchester. i have no experience in running a troupe before, so it as been a real challenge, but throughly enjoying every minute of it.My 3 daughters danced for a troupe and i just helped out as a parent and decieded "i could do this" so i did...we have been established since august 2001. we practise once a week on a tuesday 5-8pm, at our local community centre. we sell sweets, crisps, drinks & hotdogs this all goes towards our very much needed funds.
my eldest daughter sarah, helps me hell of a lot with the babies and tinnies, they look up more to her than they do to me.sarah is 15 and had not been dancing long when i started up my own troupe, but she is a major asset to haughton angels!!! she is taking her G.C.S.E mocks at the moment, she is hoping to go into teaching. (not dancing though!!)she wants to teach primary children. she is also at the last stage of her duke of edinburgh award.

since we started up last year we have done quite a lot of activitys and events.
SEPTEMBER.... we took the kids to blackpool to see the lights and then all bombared Mcdonalds...

OCTOBER..... our first display at asda.......

NOVEMBER..... we had an early christmas disco...

FEBUARY.......jumble sale....

MAY........ the mums did a sponsered 12 mile walk dressed as morris dancers and raised £197.45 on the day in our buckets.

with lots of comps in between.
we have been quite busy for our first year.

we are having our 1st birthday party on the 13th august.....
and we are all looking forward to our CHAMPIONSHIPS in october at pontins wales...
