North Walkden 2-2 Trojans
A very evenly fought out draw, with the Trojans back to their best against the Section Champions. North Walkden having won all their matches this season, in the league and cup apart from just 1 draw. An inspired Trojan side took the lead half way through the first half with a fine free kick from George Heaton, before North Walkden equalised from the penalty spot just before the break. North Walkden took the lead with 10 minutes to go and once again it looked like "Lady Luck" wasn't with the Trojans. George "Beckham" Heaton had other ideas though and he repeated his first half effort with another well struck free kick. There were several chances at both ends with some excellent defending and goalkeeping from both teams, but the score remained 2-2 with niether team having any complaints with the result.
