Hindle-Wilson Genealogy Club: Looking for Cousins!
 | This site is intended to join people with HINDLE or WILSON ancestry based in Lancashire England. They do NOT need to be related to the family information listed below. Perhaps together we can find some common links, find cousins, and share information. ANYONE WITH HINDLE OR WILSON ANCESTORS, WHO AT SOME POINT RESIDED IN OR AROUND LANCASHIRE, SHOULD PLACE A MESSAGE ON THE MESSAGE BOARD.

Here is my story:
I am looking for cousins in England, likely in the Blackburn, Lancashire area.
My Grandparents are ELIZA WILSON and SAMUEL HINDLE. My Grandmother left Blackburn around 1914-1916 to move to the US. After serving for Britain in WW1, my Grandfather followed. They left many siblings behind in England. I have fortunately found one set of cousins on the Wilson side. We would like to see if there are more cousins out there interested in corresponding.
Eliza Wilson was born May 8, 1888 in Witton, Lancaster, registered in Blackburn District. Her parents were RICHARD WILSON(born Nov 24, 1862) and MARGARET ANN EATOUGH(born Aug 25, 1862). I know nothing more about Margaret. Richard's mother was SARAH WILSON(born 1837) and her parents were JAMES WILSON and JANE ECCLESTON who were married in Blackburn, April 7, 1833. Richard had a sister named ELIZA, she is likely who my grandmother was named after.
Eliza's siblings are HERBERT, SARAH JANE, MARY ALICE, RICHARD, FRED, ERNEST, HARRY.
Samuel Hindle was born June 18, 1886 in Blackburn. His parents are WILLIAM HENRY HINDLE and SARAH ELLEN PRESTON. In 1881, this family resided at 35 Throstle in Blackburn. I wonder if there is anything at this address now?
Samuel's siblings are ALICE ANN, RICHARD HENRY, CHARLOTTE(known as LOTTIE) and I know there are more, and I will update the site as I find more information.
Samuel Hindle and Eliza Wilson were married at St. Luke's in Blackburn on April 23, 1910.
