About the Club and its Members
Lancaster and Morecambe Computer Club has around a dozen members. It is a club where people can share their experiences in maintaining PCs and laptops and attempting to resolve software issues. There are some areas where the level of expertise is high, especially in the use of photo manipulation, restoring old photographs, etc.
Meetings are usually open evenings except when events like the AGM occur and a reminder is sent out by the Club Secretary so that no-one need miss out. Here is a typical email:
Club Night –Wednesday (and date)
Yes, it's me again.
It's the usual reminder that this coming Wednesday, (and date)we hold our Club Night, as usual at the Lansil Sports and Social Club, Caton Road, Lancaster from 7.30pm.. .
This week is again an open evening with no specific agenda in mind. Feel free to join in with any hardware or software issues that are raised or just enjoy a drink and a chat.
If you are available this Wednesday, I look forward to seeing you at the Club.
Best wishes...
As you can see it is normally a free and easy evening.
Age group? Well, from late 40s onwards...
