Vairochana Buddhist Centre, based in Manchester, has been providing Buddhist meditation classes & Buddhist courses to the general public since 1992. It was established by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso so that the people of Greater Manchester would have the opportunity to practice meditation & Buddhism and find deep inner peace and lasting happiness in their lives. Vairochana Buddhist Centre is a member of the New Kadampa Tradition - International Kadampa Buddhist Union. Kadampa Buddhist centre's number over 1000 in forty countries, each with qualified teachers and a full program of introductory Buddhist meditation classes, Buddhist study programs and meditation retreats. Kadampa Buddhist Centres vary in size from major temples to local branches.
