Dinatones Morris Dancers

The Dinatones Morris Dancers started in August 1978 with an advert in the Bury Times which brought in around eighteen members.

From that beginning we went from strength to strength, taking part in competitions all over the Northwest.

We have over the years taken part in most of the local carnivals and put on numerous displays in nursing homes school summer fairs etc.

In 1986 our `Tinies` won the B.A.M.C.O. Championships and we also got Junior Leader of The Year .Tiny Leader and Senior Mascot medals in the same year.

Always on the lookout for new members we practice on a Tuesday Evening at East Ward Primary School.

Girls aged from three years are welcome, ex dancers are also welcome.

Championships 2001

The T.M.D.A. annual Championships were held at Blue Dolphin Holiday Park in October.

It was the first championship competition we had entered for quite a few years, having had a rather unpleasant experience with another organisation in the past.

We were very pleased when we won Tiny and Senior Mascots of the year. 2nd place in the tots section, best tots mascot. Our faith in organisations was restored.

Onwards and Upwards with T.M.D.A.

After our minor success in 2000 we again joined Sue Wild and T.M.D.A. for the annual championships at Blue Dolphin in 2001

We won Tiny Troupe and Leader of the Year. 1st Place Tinies ,Best Tiny Leader,2nd Place Seniors Best Senior leader,3rd Place for our Babies. We also won Most Improved Troupe. It was a very happy Troupe of girls (and parents!) That travelled back to Bury that weekend.
