Championships 2003
2003 has been a very good year for us with both Juniors and Seniors.We saw our Juniors get better with every competition and we were keeping our fingers crossed for the championships which were being held at Pontins Southport in September.We had managed to get funding to buy our own 53 seater coach , putting an end to expensive coach hire, all we have to do now is keep fundraising to maintain it.(One or two sponsors would be great)The new dresses were ready and everyone was raring to go,I was going on holiday to Tenerife (a holiday that had been planned for 2 yrs)along with all my family,there were 14 of us.Three brave mums and a dad volunteered to take all four teams to Southport so our thanks go to Kay,Valerie,Lea Ann and Les
They came away from Southport with Junior Troupe of the Year,Senior Troupe of the Year,Senior Leader of the Year,Tiny Leader and Mascot of the Year,and 2nd place inTinies Juniors and Seniors.Not quite the result we wanted on the day but I was still proud of them and there`s always next year! |
