Waiting on the corner watching all the Vets go by
While watching the London 2005 Remembrace Day Parade returning to Horse Guards along Horse Guard's Avenue, many people took photos of us three Lincolnshire Branch Members. (If you want your photo taken, wear a Kilt). One of these photographers, unbeknown to me, was Charley Haynes, The BKVA Webmaster. He took this photo of me (scratching my nose), intending to return when he had finished filming the March Past to take a few more of me in different poses, but by the time he got back to our position, we had moved on.but quite a few people wanted to take my photo too many to count at one point i was .halted in oneplace for almost 20 min utesin fact my ate brian counted over 20 people wanting to take my picture either with their children wives or husbands in fact i have a couple of photoes some one sent me on both occasions not only was i the object but a wee laddie dressed in a mini guards uniform complete whith cane whos mother asked if i would have my photo taken with of course i obliged it was take twice in different poses by a lady called Mrs Linda Groves who i thank for sending me a disk full of what transpired in london. later we were invited to visit the royal hospital chelsea, and took a couple of photoes there i will be posting asap photo of our visit to the remembrence weekend.inc visit to the hospital
