Are single pensioners paying government more?

As a single pensioner I have recently contacted the ministry of pensions about tax allowances for single women who retire at 60 at the present time. my concern is that with the minimum pension guaratee for lower paid pensioners in the past, does not reflect fairly on the situation of recently retired women who have paid into a private pesion scheme such as a local government scheme. I shall be elaborating on this in my next bulletin,as I am signing off for now.I just wanted to know if there are any other retired working ladies of 60 or slightly over who feel badly done to with regards to the tax allowances when in this situation.
