Englands's Glory
What has happened to Englands glory When all around us tumbling down. It is the same old story, Yobs and fools letting us down.
If those who gave their lives for England In past wars, If they knew. They’d have a fit, to see what I see, Such destruction by so few.
Pride and justice, where has it gone to? Courts are full habitual ones. They call out a number, deal with offender But the harm, it just goes on and on.
England is so good to live here, When we knoe there is no fear. The green is constant, seasons changing. No finer place on earth I’d be.

Now that world football’s come to an end, There’s nothing but an empty space. When you turn on the T.V. set It’s soaps that’s back in it’s place.
The summer is here upon us, Without a glimpse of sun. We’re way past summer solstice And the flowers in the garden look glum.
It seems to me as time goes by Everything is speeded up. It must be me getting older The pace of life has caught up.
It’s no use being sad for all our cares Must be within God’s Hands. And having faith as we do Is really rather grand.
