Competitions

Competitions are held on sundays over the north of England and wales.
These are exciting days because as well as dancing there are sometimes fairs or parks where we can go.
Competitions start with the baby teams at around 10'o clock and end with the results around 5'o clock.
At the end of the day the winning teams recieve trophies and the winning leaders and mascots recieve medals.
Also at competitions there is a marching competition in each section where people march round in a square and the best marcher wins a medal.  The people who have won the marchround during the year can compete in a big dance off at the championships and the winner of each section wins a trophy.  The winners out of each section compete against each other for the dancer of the year award.
