Netball Club grows from strength to strength

Sharples Junior Netball Club was formed five years ago with a small nucleus of girls skilled in the game of netball.
During the last five years the membership has grown enabling the establishment of teams in age groups under 11 through to under 17.These teams compete in tournaments around Lancashire and Greater Manchester up to national county standard.
During 1999 successes were acheived in the under 11 and under 16 teams finishing at the top of the Greater Manchester Junior League.
More recently the club entered the Lancashire League tournament in Blackpool with many notable wins against established clubs.
