Station capitulate as Forrest run riot
|Forrest UK 10 - Station Hotel 0|
Station FC are in turmoil following a 10-0 battering v Forrest UK last night. The brewery side had only 6 men as Jason Shinks and Andrew Malpass failed to turn up. They are set to face disciplinary charges and some reports suggest they will both be sacked. Manager Jamie Hopwood is said to be furious.
Forrest made the extra man count as they battered the Station goal with the frail defence in tatters. They found themselves 6-0 up at half time. The second half performance was marginally better, with Forrest only scoring another 4 easy goals.
The main talking point of the night, however, was the shockingly poor performance of the referee. Some of his decisions left Station bewildered and provoked angry scenes, with players of each side squaring up to each other on several occasions. Some nasty tackles followed. Manager Jamie Hopwood, incensed by the referee finally blew his top in the final minute as he verbally abused him. Hopwood was shown red and faces a hefty fine.
Station manager Hopwood clearly knows his side have a lot of work to do, and he looks set to ring several changes in time for next weeks clash against Granby Marketing.
