Hopwood faces sack as Station suffer heavy defeat
Station 2 - Sapphire Windows 8
Station FC suffered an 8-2 annihilation at the hands of Sapphire Windows last night. Manager Jamie Hopwood, is said to have gone into hiding this morning as Station fans have called for him to be sacked immediately. The Preston Old Road based outfit, who were poor throughout showed just why they were 3 points adrift at the bottom of the division. A mix of poor defending, dreadful passing and players drifting out of position led to the embarrassing score line.
Hopwood’s side, missing several players through injury still had a decent team on paper. However, a shocking performance by all the players was similar to the one seen week in, week out by Dominic Matteo of Blackburn Rovers. The ‘’scottish mong’’ has caused uproar with several Blackburn fans who think a disabled, partially sighted, urine covered spastic is a better option.
The Station board of directors have refused to comment on Hopwood’s managerial future.
Station side v Sapphire was: Dawson, Warnock, Shinks, Hopwood, Read, Kenny, Finney.
