Capacity Building

This European Social Fund (ESF) funded project provides essential capacity-building support both with Trinity and to local community groups and partnerships.

1) Trinity has commenced working towards a major quality standard, using the Excellence Model of the European Foundation for Quality Management.

2) Our personnel systems have been modernised with new IT software and training, and new marketing and pormotional materials have been produced.

3) 49 local voluntary or community organisations have benefited from capacity building measures through training, advice, information and support with funding.

4) 40 staff and 67 volunteers have benefited from new training.

5) 2 partnerships have been developed or supported

6) 9 new reports have been published, including a research report on Ribble Valley's excluded groups.

7) 4 new social firms have been set up, and 7 study visits have taken place.

We are particularly focusing on developing the capacity of local voluntary and community organisations to participate in their Local Strategic Partnerships (LSP). Within Trinity, we have been addressing sustainability issues to ensure our future stays bright. Hence, we have been developing our Sustainability Strategy, setting up a new funding group to improve fundraising skills within projects, and investigating new legal structures to allow mature projects to separate from the parent organisation.

* Current Capacity Building Partners include:
