Hopwood accepts apology and looks for Craven scalp!!
Thwaites midfielder Jamie Hopwood has emphatically accepted fellow colleague
Damian Tabbinor's apology following their spat on Saturday in Southampton.
Hopwood said, ' I accept Damian's apology, I understand why he was annoyed
and upset - I can't imagine having to put up with Martin Slater for that
long. I know he was desperate to find us. Anyway, we had a great day out and
had a good win. We were extremely drunk by the end of the night but did
enjoy ourselves immensely.
Whiz-kid, Hopwood who put in a good performance on Sunday against staunch
rivals Craven VII in a game Thwaites should never have lost - is looking for
revenge on Wednesday when they play them again in the five-a-side league.
The brewery team have picked up 4 points out of 6 in the Wednesday night
league after beating Whittles 5-4 and drawing 4-4 with high-flying Lookers.
They will be looking to build on these results if they want to be among the
championship contenders. Hopwood has missed the last two five-a-side games
through a back injury, but despite a pulled leg muscle he is in the squad to
face Craven tomorrow evening.
Thwaites can also welcome back Joe Huxley and Ben Slinger in what should be
a strong line-up. Mark Slater, however, is again thought to be missing as he
has gone to St Ives on his 260th Caravan trip in 12 months.
