Local Hero Fails to Turn Up!

Local MP Jack Straw was left fuming last night, after Thwaites manager Gary Targett failed to show up to accompany Atomic Kitten in turning on Blackburn town centres Christmas lights, an event organised by Straw. Straw had this to say, " I’m really upset about this, we could have had anyone down here for this, Bob Carolgese and spit the dog. I’m talking big big stars but no we asked Mr. Targett to come down and he agreed but has let not only me down but himself and the rest of Blackburn down aswell." Blackburn Rovers star Matt Jansen was called upon at the last minute to help out. " Matt was good but its not the same as having Gary Targett down here", said one disappointed spectator. Another fan was seen setting fire to his Thwaites scarf he was so upset. We are unsure about why Targett failed to show but we have been told he was spotted out on Wednesday night extremely drunk.
