Board Puts a Stop Caravaning Fun!!
|As thwaites poor Sunday League form continues the board of directors has finnally put its foot down on the constant trips away for Mark Slater, Carl Elmer and Peter McManus, which results in them missing key games.
The three players have missed at least 4 games this season, and with these three missing Thwaites are left to draft in players who the rest of the side arent used to playing with. This has resulted in a number of poor results in recent matches and the board has finnally had enough.
A club spokesman had this to say, " The board of directors has announced that Mark Slater, carl Elmer and Peter McManus have been stopped from attending any Camping holidays, due to them missing numerous games this season through these."
None of the players are yet to comment on this but they are sure to be angered by this.
It also adds to speculation that Elmers reign as manager is coming to an end. Many names have been mentioned as replacements for Elmer the latest being Jimmy Greaves. Some say this ban may be a way of pushing Elmer out of the hot seat.
