Sacked Elmer to concentrate on playing

Sacked Sunday 7-a-side league manager has released a statement outlining his intentions at Thwaites. Although disappointed at being dismissed just a few weeks ago after a string of poor results he is now prepared to put the past behind him and concentrate on the task in hand. New manager Dominic Southworth has had a terrific start winning two in two games which has seen Thwaites climb to sixth in the table. Southworth told the press that Elmer has been a true professional and is attitude excellent despite being sacked. However, although he is disappointed with him missing several key games this season he hopes that the caravanning ban that has been imposed on him will improve his general fitness.
