Thwaites gunning for promotion glory!!

Thwaites FC take on Victoria 'B' in the five-a-side league tonight
knowing that should they win they will clinch second place and be
promoted. However, second placed Victoria also know that a win or a draw
would snatch glory away from the brewery team.

Jamie Hopwood is doubtful for the clash after his back injury has again
flared up. He faces a late fitness test before the clash. Thwaites
should still have a strong team with the core of the seven-a-side team
available along with manager Gary Targett returning to the team. Simon
Tipton is set to start up-front after his goal on Sunday in the bad
tempered game against Craven. The game ended in a draw with four players
being dismissed including defender Damian Tabbinor after an horrific
challenge. Tabbinor, however should start in defence in front of Targett
in goal. Dominic Hopwood will not feature as hs contract is only for the
seven-a-side team. He should return to action on Sunday against Acme in
what should be a tricky encounter.
