Thwaite's 5 =( -10) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thwaites FC continued to show poor form last night, this time in the
5-a-side indoor league at "The BRIC".........they were on the receiving end
of a 10-0 thrashing .... which would have been more if the referee had been
able to count.
Although the brewery based side were missing midfielder Jamie "donkey"
Hopwood, goalkeeping vegetable Paul "courgette" Slater and attacking
forward Mark "soft arse" Slater, there can be no excuses made.
The match was soooooooooo forgettable that this reporter can't even
remember the name of the opposition. If Blackburn Rovers started playing 15
minutes after Leeds started last Sunday, then it must be said that Thwaites
never managed to get out of the dressing room. They were terrible...that is
all this reporter can say to describe Thwaites performance in such a one
sided game.
match ratings:
D. Hopwood: 7 saved as many as he let in. Too big and fat to get down
to the low, hard shots. Saved some good 1 on 1's and saved
2 with his face.....a brave performance.
S. Tipton 5 showed good skill but drifted in and out of the game.
ineffective up front.
D. Southworth 5 he too showed glimpses of good skill put played out of
position for most of the match. Poor compared to recent
performances
D. Tabbinor 5 made some good runs but finishing let him down. he too
played out of position for most of the match. Was he playing
in defence or attack ???? nobody will ever know
S. Tormay 5 solid performance but too slow in defence and not enough
movement up front. Ran round chasing the ball instead of
marking his man.
