Message from the Chair
 | Welcome from the Chairperson of Young at A.R.T. (Action Target Response)
Hi I am a resident of Halton Street and have been for the past 7 years. Previous to that my brother owned the same property. I was born in The Haulgh and have resided here for 35 years. I have been a member of the Haulgh Community Partnership and Voluntary Youth Leader of The Haulgh Youth Group for the past five years. I qualified as a Youth Worker in 2002 and am currently studying my Diploma with a view to becoming a Young Person Counsellor. The idea behind The Young at A.R.T. project came from several key issues from a number of residents.
1. What to do with the derelict land. 2. Neighbourhood watch 3. Drug dealing 4. Improving the environment 5. Street fetes and so on…
The most logical step was to organise a committee and take forth our plans to overall improve the image of Halton Street and Enhance Community Spirit.
I hope you will join us to fulfil our hopes and aspirations and make Halton Street a fun and healthier place to be a resident of.
