A spoonful of Gilbert and Sullivan
Award winning company, ALGSS, are returning to the Henderson Hall on July 1st and 2nd in Abbots Langley with a summer spectacular. As part of the locally renown Abbots Langley Festival of Arts (ALFA), the talented performers will be displaying their vocal diversity with numbers from ‘Mary Poppins’ and ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’ as well as performing more familiar G&S repertoire.
The concert has been designed by Musical Director, Philip Joslin, to have a wide, family appeal with favourites including Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, Doll on a Music Box and King of the Swingers, plus rousing chorus numbers from G&S operettas. Professional singer and dancer, Emma Southorn, will be choreographing the concert as well as performing the classic number from ‘Mary Poppins’, Feed the Birds.
