Who we are, what we do, why and where

We are a small group of people living in the Borough of Barnet and North West London, sharing a common interest in Italian Art, Literature, History and Music.
We meet in members' homes and have been in existence for more than 20 years.
Our meetings consist of two parts. In the first part we have a talk in English on an aspect of Italian culture of interest to us followed by a break when the host will offer some non-alcoholic refreshments and then by the second part when we debate a short Italian "novella" we have read from our book of Italian short stories. The second part is all in Italian.
We have members and visitors. Members are those who once a year offer either to host a meeting in their homes, or to prepare and give a talk on aspects of the culture of Italy.
Visitors are welcome. Visitors do not host meetings and do not give talks, but they have to pay a fee at every visit.
