Lunch Club
The centre has a 6 day luncheon club run by Wandsworth Bengali Welfare Association. Food is served under strict supervision for hygiene. Food served at the centre caters for both the palate as well as health and dietary needs of the elderly. Set menu is in rotation during the month and the food may vary depending on the availability. The Association has the right to change the menu if necessary.

Example Menus
Monday to Friday 12.00pm-1.45pm vegetarian food is served,
Example:
Dals: Masur, Moong, Tuwer, Kadhi.
Vegetables: Peas and Aubergine, Bhindi, Mixed Vegetables, Potatoes and Aubergines, Onions and Potatoes/Karela.
Daily Bread: Chapati are served daily.
Rice: Plain Rice, Pilau Rice, Khichdi.
Salad: Freshly cut salad is served.
Pharsan: Potato or Onion Bajis or Dhokra. This item is served instead of salad.
Sweet: Bundi, Mixed Fruit Fresh/Tinned, Semolina Pudding.
Saturday 1.00pm-2.00pm non-vegetarian food is served,
Example:
Dal: Mixed, Moong Arhar.
Meat: Chicken Curry, Lamb Curry.
Vegetables: Aloo Matar, Aloo Chana, Mixed Vegetables, Aloo Bangan.
Daily Bread: Chapati, Puri.
Rice: Mixed Vegetable Pilau, Boiled Rice, Khichri.
Salad: Freshly cut salad is served.
Sweet: Lassi, Ice-cream, Jalebi, Mixed Fruit Fresh/Tinned.
Cost:
The prices are reasonable under present market conditions. Currently the price for OAP's is £1.70 per meal. You can eat in or take away (please bring your own containers). All are welcome though the price may vary for the unemployed, for those on income support it is £2.00 and for the employed it is £2.50.
Saturday lunch is £1.70 for ALL.
