BFC presents: Show of Hands
 | Phil Beer & Steve Knightley
"Classy….compelling….punchy, literate songs played with impeccable
professionalism and flair" Daily Telegraph
"The enigmatic acoustic duo Show of Hands are formidable operators in the roots arena.
A class act." The Independent
A triumphant 2006 return to the world renowned Celtic Connections Festival in Glasgow kick-starts a hectic touring year for England's most successful acoustic roots duo Show of Hands.
Following this the group undertake a major UK tour of arts centres and theatres through April and May. As part of this Steve & Phil make their first visit to Finchley's exciting arts and entertainment venue, artsdepot, in association with Barnet Folk Club.
Joining them onstage will be special guest Miranda Sykes on double bass and vocals.
The band have twice sold out the Royal Albert Hall, so it is no co-incidence that the Devon duo won 'Best Live Act' in 2004 and a share of the 'Best Group' in 2005 at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards. They are simply one of the finest live acts around.
