13/14 March 2001, 15 caravans, Sports Ground, Banstead Rd, Ewell, £30,000 of damage overnight.
From Banstead Road - to 26 March ten caravans at Earlswood Lakes, Reigate, much fly-tipping. Another 10 at approved site, Guildford.

17/18 April 12 to 15 Caravans Highway House, then Hook Road, both at Chessington Road Ewell. Hook Road Arena despite existing eviction order - damaged new security gates, and many padlocks around Country park. Some same as Banstead Road during extensive damage there.
Registration nos include Blue Transit M84 PJH, White Brava Pick-up M956 YPX, Yellow lorry M438 AVX
26 April 2001 20-30 left Earlswood Lakes leaving considerable dumping. Believed to include some present during Banstead Road damage

14 May 200 caravans evicted by Thames Valley Police this afternoon. Saying they will head for Epsom
17 May 50 Caravans at Happy Eater car park on Hogsback Guildford / Farnham due to move this afternoon
26 May upto 120 units on 2 sites in Chertsey business park. Half evicted Friday 1 June remainder expect eviction notice 6 June.
30 May 40 Caravans occupied 4 unauthorised sites overnight arriving early for the traditional Epsom Derby site will depart around June 9
6 June 2001 Seventy caravans at an Ealing school face started leaving midday. One told TV news they plan to go to Epsom Derby site. |
