WALTHAM FOREST FUCHSIA, PELARGONIUM AND HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY

WELCOME TO OUR WEB SITE

This is the web site of the Waltham Forest Fuchsia, Pelargonium and Horticultural Society, the friendliest society in the north east of London. Although we primarily grow and show Fuchsia's and Pelargonium's (Geranium's), our members do have great experience at growing many other genus of plants and that is reflected in the speakers that visit our Society. If you need help this is the ideal place to come and learn about horticulture in general. We hope you enjoy your visit to this website and that the articles, photo's and information are of some help in assisting you to grow our favourite plants. When you have looked at the pages on this website please click below to visit the many 'links' that contain further information on various topics.

Those of you who want to know more

...may be interested in coming along to one of our monthly meetings. If you have been growing for many years, or have just started, or even want to learn more, then why not come along and see what you may be missing.

Please note that we now meet at 8pm on the last MONDAY of every month at:

THE CONSERVATIVE CLUB, CHURCH LANE (Nr ST MARY CHURCH), WALTHAMSTOW, LONDON E17. THERE IS PLENTY OF OFF ROAD PARKING AVAILABLE AND APART FROM THE FREE TEA/COFFEE AND BISCUITS, MEMBERS WILL ALSO HAVE ACCESS TO A FULLY LICENCED BAR. BUS W12 SERVES ORFORD ROAD AND W16 SHERNHALL STREET. BUS 212 STOPS IN CHURCH HILL/PROSPECT HILL. ALL ARE A SHORT WALK FROM THE HALL.

There are many benefits in joining our society which include guest speakers, on a wide range of horticultural subjects, coach trips to nurseries and gardens owned by the National Trust and Royal Horticultural Society, places of interest and towns, trips to the seaside and to the continent. Details of these trips and forthcoming speakers for 2008 can be found on the 'diary of events' page. We also have access to a large number of varieties of fuchsia within the society, plus newly released cultivars only available from us and selected nurseries. You will receive a monthly newsletter and plants are often taken to the meetings or speakers bring them along. Many horticultural products are on sale at the monthly meetings, far cheaper than you could purchase them in local shops or garden centres. We are a very friendly society with members who have a wealth of knowledge which covers many genus of plants. Either come along to one of the meetings to see if you would like to join or phone Mick Allsop on 020 8509 0657 for further information.

If you wish to exchange hints and tips, ask for assistance, or publish an article on this web site, you can contact us by e-mail. If you like these pages please visit and sign the guestbook by clicking on the link below:
