EDUCATION

Heathside is a registered examination centre and our members have achieved great success in different areas of education. Our education programme is open to anyone with mental health problems in the borough of Wandsworth.

BASIC SKILLS: A large number of heathside members have gained AQA certificates in basic literacy and numeracy. We also offer AQA certificates in the following areas; World of Work, Life Skills, Health and Hygiene and Graphicy.

Some of our members have also received basic First Aid training at Heathside.

CREATIVE WRITING: We are currently running a university level creative writing course in partnership with Surrey University which can be completed on site at Heathside.

COMPUTING: We ran a very successful beginners computing course last year and are in the process of setting up a similar course for this year.

THE FUTURE: We would like to give our members the opportunity to take NVQs in retail and administration as part of our work experience projects. We are currently looking for funding to enable us to do this.
