Round Table - What you didn't know
Round Table has existed since the 1920's when a group of young men got together to enjoy each other's company and to raise money for local good causes.
Since then the movement has spread across the world and in the UK there are more than 1,000 separate Tables, many who have established worldwide contacts with Tables in other countries.
Round Table is social, but with a serious side. We raise money through events to support local good causes. Normally meeting twice a month for a meal and discussion, but also holding race nights, dinners and helping out at local schools and other events organised by others.
Leyton & Walthamstow Round Table is no 216 on th elist of Round Tables in the UK having been established in 1948. We have around 10 full time members with a number of honourary members who assist us with larger events. We also have twin Tables in Toulouse in France and Wiesmoor in Germany - there is also now a 216 Table in South Africa and we look forward to establishing and developing that link.
Table is fun, and it allows you to give something back to your local community in the process.
