2001: Middlesex win in style

Middlesex clinched promotion back the second division of the County Championships with four wins out of four tournament at Cambridge from 29th July to 1st August 2001.

Middlesex batted first every day and accumulated over 1100 runs against Wiltshire, Warwickshire, Essex and Hampshire.

2002: Middlesex stay in Division 2

Middlesex hung on to their place Division 2 by 2 points in a rain affected County Championships. They lost the first three ganes to Kent (who were promoted), Somerset and Lancashire, but rain prevented them from playing Derbyshire and Hertfordshire.
