Brownie Guides -- 8th Penge
The Guide Association, as part of a worldwide movement, enables girls to fulfil their potential to take an active and responsible role in society through its distinctive, stimulating and enjoyable programme of activities delivered by trained volunteer leaders throughout the UK.
Guiding provides opportunities for girls to:
* be challenged by new adventures and experiences and achieve a sense of pride in accomplishment
* develop self-awareness, self-respect and self-confidence
* develop a personal faith and values to give life meaning and direction
* think for themselves, govern themselves and make their own decisions
* make friends and have fun in the family of Guiding
* develop a sense of tolerance, justice, kindness and honour
* learn teamwork and acquire leadership skills, working with and for others
* appreciate their environment and how to live in it
* understand and learn about the world, its people and cultures
Guides come from all kinds of backgrounds. Guiding is open to every girl -- regardless of race or circumstances -- providing she is able to understand the Guide Promise to the best of her ability and is willing to make it. The promise is a three-fold Commitment which asks that a Guide should do her best to:-
* seek spiritual development
* contribute to society
* live by a simple code -- the Guide Law
Guiding respects the special circumstances of each girl's faith or culture such as dress, diet, holy days and so on.

Seaside Rock
 | Seaside Rock is a fun-packed two hours for 5- to 11-year olds, usually on the first Saturday in each month between 10 am and 12 noon. There will be crafts, games, video, puzzles, quizzes, and lots of fun.
Why not drop the young ones off and drift into Penge for the Saturday shop while the herberts burn off some energy? No registration required – just turn up!

Junior Church
We meet on Sundays from 10.30am in the church for the first half-hour, and then in the Church Hall from 11am-11.45am. Other children sometimes join us at 11am in the Church Hall. We meet together for Bible Stories and activities, and any children are welcome to join us.
