"Good and Faithful Servants"
During one of our Advent services long-standing members of our church Bill & Peggy Adams were surprised by the presentation to them of a bench to honour their apparently tireless service to Christ and the parish over more than 50 years.
The plaque on the bench reads: "Grateful thanks to Bill and Peggy Adams for your faithful Christian ministry at Hatton Chapel and Saint Mary's."
In the photograph below (courtesy Maurice Davies) Bill & Peggy are shown seated, with our Vicar, Geoff, and his wife Hope standing behind alongside our Churchwardens Clive and Zena. The bench has been installed in the churchyard.

Passover Supper
On Palm Sunday evening we celebrated a "Pesach Seder" (or Passover Supper) to commemorate the fact that Jesus' Last Supper on the first Maundy Thursday was a celebration of the Passover. Due to calendar differences, Jewish people will not celebrate the Passover until April 20.
Guided by Geoff, our Vicar, we followed a slightly modified form of the occasion that is more appropriate for a congregation that believes that the Messiah has already come, and will come again. However, as the photograph below (courtesy of Peter Edwards) shows, we did leave a place empty for Elijah in case he chose to join us. |  |
