Townswomen Celebrate 60 Years

0n the 24th January 2002,  Worcester Park Afternoon Townswomens Guild celebrated 60 years of continual membership.   54 members celebrated with a lunch at Merton College which was thoroughly enjoyable.  We were privileged to have Mrs. Maggie Chilton,  the National Chairlady of Townswomens' Guilds attending the lunch along with the Chairlady of North Surrey (Nonsuch) Mrs. Anne Ward.
0ur meetings take place on the second Wednesday at Christ Church with St. Philip, Ruskin Drive, Worcester Park from 2 - 4 pm.
We also have sub-section groups which are Scrabble, Whist, Arts and Crafts,  Discussion,  Flower Arranging and various other activities and outings also take place.   We also have a very good Drama Group,   there are only 8 members at the moment but they are terrific.
