Visit to the National Arboretum on 27th July 2004
On 27th July 2004 approximately 450 BKVA personnel attended a Memorial Service at the National Arboreatum, Arlewas, Staffordshire to remember our comrades who lost their lives repelling the invading forces who had attempted to take over South Korea. We fought under the flag of the United Nations, the first action agreed by that newly formed organistaion. In attendance were the South Korean Ambassador and the Military Attachee both of whom expresses their heartfelt thanks for our sacrifices to save them from Communist domination from the North. A memorable day was had by all, and our thanks go out to those persons who helped to organise the day really not knowing how many would turn up. Well done in the circumstances! |
