What can I do as an adult in Scouting?

There are many different roles for an adult with the Scout Group.

Joining the Group Executive Committee.

The Group Executive Committee always needs new faces and new ideas and you would be very welcome. The committee supports the Group Leaders, and helps raise the funds we need to continue running.

Become a helper with a section of the Group.

All three sections of the Group, Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Scouts, always need adult help to run. You don’t need to bring lots of specialist skills with you.

Become a Leader with a section of the Group.
#

Become a full adult member of the movement, and work with one of the three sections of the Group, Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts, or Scouts.

Don’t think that you don’t have the necessary skills for the job, it’s amazing how the skills people do have can help Scouting.

As a Leader you will be a uniformed member of the Scout Association, and will receive all the necessary Leader training.

ALL ADULTS WORKING WITH OUR YOUNG PEOPLE MUST GO THROUGH THE CRIMINAL RECORDS BUREAU PROCEDURE BEFORE WORKING WITH THEM. THIS HELPS TO ENSURE THE WELFARE OF ALL OUR MEMBERS.
