1507 Gliding Re-union
In addition to normal squadron training on a Wednesday and Friday evening at the TA Centre in Chester le Street cadets can complete flying training at 645 VGS. This weekend unit is based at RAF Topcliffe, part of Alanbrooke Barracks near Thirsk. The aircraft is a Grob 109B Vigilant T Mk1. Cadets are trained and will solo fly this aircraft with a minimum age of sixteen years.

With them are the next generation of pilots, seventeen year old cadets Corporal Danielle Hunt of Rickleton completing her Gliding Scholarship and Corporal Chris Oliver of Ouston commencing his GS.
