Wing Adventure Challenge 2007
A rather damp weekend in June....held at Great Tower Scout Camp in the Lakes. This years challenge was a combination of a days navigation exercise followed by orienteering. This was followed by a day of rock climbing, abseiling, low ropes, archery and command tasks. 20 teams competed in very 'challenging' conditions. |
New staff....
Mrs Tracy Brown and Mr Stuart Blackie joined the staff team this year.
Mrs Brown will be looking after the sports and first aid with Mr Blackie providing transport for the mid week flying. |

Cadets got packing those bags and helpe the Squadron raise £149.00! The event was organised by the Squadron's Committee Chair Mrs Rita Skeoch.
Money from events like this is how we fund days such as the buggy racing and Flamingo Land. Help the Civilian Committee - the more we raise the fun we can have! |

 | | On the 30th June and the 6th of July, three cadets and one member of staff where asked to attend a Twenty20 cricket match at Riverside. They where given at three course meal in hospitality box 13 with some delightful company.. Cllr Bill Barratt & Cllr F Wilkinson (Urpurth Parish Council), Mike Dulieu (Waldridge Parish Council), Frank Nelson & Dennis Kind (Chester Central Residents Group) and ofcourse the host Cllr Allen Turner (Chester-le-street District Council). Unfortunally on the 6th the cricket was canceled due to weather condidtion, but it was still a lovely night. |
