Have a look to see what we did in 2006..
2006 was another busy year for 1507 Sqn. We competed in almost every Wing competition against the other 34 squadrons in Durham/Northumberland.
We had cadets attend every UK camp on offer including NACATC Llanbedr, NACATC Windermere, RAF Coningsby, RAF Uxbridge and WARCOP.
The Squadron paraded in the Battle of Britain, Remembrance Parade and the Wing Review!

Rock Antics
 At Newton Aycliffe is considered by many to be the North East's best indoor climbing wall. There are various walls and heights to be climed.
A group from 1507 went to the wall and spent one evening learning the skills to climb. |
NACATC Llanbedr 2006
Flt Lt Blackie's first time as Camp Comm and the week was enjoyed by all!!
1507 Sqn staffed the camp with Flt Lt Blackie, Fg Off Lane, WO Brighton, Sgt Brighton together with WO Turnbull (AKA Yoda) and the MT expert CI Charlton.

RAF Uxbridge - Annual Camp Week 8
 A week staying on RAF Uxbridge in the delights of the transit block! With visits to plenty of museums to get the feel of how the War was lived including a trip to the Bunker.

Inter Squadron Athletics April 2006
1507 managed to pick up 3 more medals in this years Inter Wing Athletics Competition held at Monkton Stadium, Jarrow.
The team this year was Sgt Hunt, Cpl Oliver, Cpl Skeoch, Cpl Nelson, Cdt Hall, Cdt Fiddes, Cdt Pryce, Cdt Bohill and Cdt Vincent.
Sgt Danielle Hunt won a gold in the shot put and a silver in the javelin. Cpl Chris Oliver also collected a gold in the javelin (or stick throwing as he prefers to call it!). |
