BTEC Awards

Cadets of 1507 Sqn have studied hard to gain their BTEC in Aviation Studies.
Sgt Ryan Skeoch, Sgt Chris Clarke, Cpl James Hall and Cdt Alec Gamble have worked through all of their exams from the Air Training Corps to Navigation and Propulsion to Advanced Radio and Radar.
To top off their academic endeavours they have all passed their Staff part 2 interview. They will be the first cadets to be awarded and proudly wearing the yellow lanyard for nearly four years - a big well done!
They were presented their certificates by Flt Lt Graham Blackie (Officer Commanding).

We're all going a camping!

From the monies raised by the cadets over the last year the Squadron is now the proud owner of some new camping kit!
Flt Lt Blackie and Fg Off Lane went on a mini spending spree to purchase 3 new three man tents, 3 water carriers, 2 stoves and 2 pan sets
Its only the hard work of the cadets giving up their spare time to help the Squadron in its fund raising can we buy equipment such as this...so thank you for your efforts!
PS...one of the tents made it to its first outing at the Wing Adventure Challenge 07 and despite the torential rain Sgt Skeoch, Cdt Travers and Cdt Bohill slept sounding - and dry!

Representing Wing

Having taken part in the Wing Air Recognition Compertition, Cdt Hodge was so successful that he has been asked to represent the Wing at a Regional level.
