What is the Two Dales Partnership?

2DP is a group of local volunteers who came together following a public advertisement in Summer 2000. Our role is evolving, and we are currently (March 2001) moving towards setting ourselves up as a non-profit making company limited by guarantee. We welcome new volunteer members at any time.
At present we see our work in terms of supporting the local community to take advantage of the new funding opportunities, and to develop the capacity to sustain improvements.

To achieve this 2DP is

• Preparing,distributing, and publicising the Community Investment Prospectus

• Appointing a Community Development Worker to help local people with their proposals

• Offering ourselves as a local point of reference, advice and support to everyone who lives and works in the Two Dales, particularly to cut through the jargon and complexity of funding bureaucracy

• Where appropriate, preparing bids ourselves in line with the needs assessment and the project outlines.
