Scouting provides a wonderful opportunity for young people to develop through a varied and exciting training programme.
The aim of Scouting.
The aim of the Scout Association is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens, and as members of their local, national and international communities.
Our group meets in school term time at the 40th Scout Headquarters at the above address with occasional exciting activities at weekends and during school holidays.

Beaver Scouts
Beaver Scouts are for children 6 - 8 years old and meet on Tuessday evenings from 5.30pm till 6.30pm.

Cub Scouts
Cub Scouts are for children 8 years old to 10½ years old and meet on Tuesdays from 6.30pm till 8.00pm.

Scouts
Scouts are for children aged 10½ years old to 14 years old and meet on Thursdays from 7.00pm till 9.00pm. |
Group Executive Committee
So that the Leaders of the Section and the Group Scout Leader can concentrate on running the Sections, the group has a Group Executive Committee which meets monthly to deal with all other matters. |
Roarin Forties
The group publishes a quarterly newsletter, The Roarin’ Forties, which is distributed to all Parents and Friends.
