Welcome to the 4 Clocks Community Resource Centre

The Four Clocks Centre, in Newgate Street Bishop Auckland, is an integrated, serviced and centrally managed community resource centre for the people of the Bishop Auckland area.

Our Mission Statement is "Improving the quality of life for local people". (Registered Charity Number 1097681)

Over £1.2 million was raised by Bishop Auckland Community Partnership in order to buy the Grade 2 listed former Wesley Church in Newgate Street, with its prominent four faced clock tower, and to convert it into a three storied advice, support and welfare “one stop shop” for Wear Valley residents.

At the moment, you will find Wear Valley Citizens Advice Bureau on the first floor along with the Age Concern office.

Durham Dales Home Improvement Agency offers a service from the Ground Floor of the Building. There is also an internet cafe and a Durham County information point. New members for the internet get the first 1/2 hour's use free. Charges are then 50p for 15 minutes.

A Youth Project newly funded by the Big Lottery Fund is run from the Centre and hosts a range of activities for young people aged between 11-25.

There are several rooms available for hire at different rates depending on the size of room and status of the group or individual hiring the room.
Catering and refreshments can be provided for meetings. Training aids such as Overhead projectors, flip charts and TV/Videos are also available to hire.

Office services can be provided including photocopying, typing, faxing and laminating.
