27th MARCH. The Btn were in Trenches at Rosieres. The Germans, with Amiens as their objective continued to attack but suffered severe losses as men became exhausted and became detached from resupply.
Diary "Throughout the morning the enemy attacked the position taken up on the 26th, but was repulsed. Towards the evening the enemy pushed up on the North of Rosieres and we sent two platoons to reinforce the Line on the Left. These platoons with the exception of 1 Officer and 2 other ranks eventually became casualties. 2nd Lt Green G.A. missing.

28th MARCH. ""At 1 a.m the Brigade withdrew to a line at Vrely facing North East. At 8 a.m. a further retirement was ordered to some old trenches on the High Ground South of Caix. This position was held until the Flanks gave way between 11 a.m. and Noon. We retired to Villers Aux Erables where we were ordered back to billets at Jumel where the night was spent."
