North-East Bus Preservation Trust of Sunderland This Tyne and Wear standard Leyland Atlantean entered service based at South Shields, and passed to South Shields Busways after deregulation in 1986. It is preserved in the livery of South Shields Busways.

HS Transport Collection of Leeds This vehicle began life with a Duple coach body; the current one is more recent and was transferred from a 1950 coach in 1957. It originally worked for South Yorkshire Motors in Pontefract. It entered preservation in 1969; it has been rallied since then but for a period during which the body framework was renovated. It performs reliably on long-distance runs and achieves 40 mph and 12 to 14 mpg.

It worked first at City Busways from Byker then most of its time at Slatyford on fastline services . It had brief spells on Magicbus and at Sunderland and ended up at Stagecoach Transit from where it was bought by the Treble-one Group in 2004. This is its first season of rallies.

49 PCN 762 1964 AEC/Park Royal Routemaster Ken Rodham of Washington This bus was one of fifty AEC-Park Royal front entrance Routemasters that were new to the Northern General Transport Company, fitted with Leyland 0.600 engines. It was originally registered RCN 699 and worked from Consett garage. On withdrawal by Northern, it passed to Stevenson's of Uttoxeter, then to Stagecoach for use on Magicbus routes in Glasgow, reregistered as EDS 508B, and by then powered by an AEC engine. On withdrawal by Stagecoach, the bus passed to the Go-Ahead Northern Bus Enthusiasts' Association, in the care of staff at Percy Main garage. It was eventually acquired by the late Chris Moyes OBE for continued preservation and given registration mark PCN 762.

53 JJD 551D 1966 AEC/Park Royal Routemaster R2RH Steve Griffin of Newcastle upon Tyne This Routemaster entered service as London Transport RML2551 in 1966, initially on route 6, and after refurbishment on route 12. Refurbishment was of both interior and of the driveline, when a Cummins engine replaced the AEC original. The current owner intends to preserve it with its route 12 branding.

It was taken out of service in 1972 and sold to a Scottish operatior. It was rescued from scrap and rebuilt to emerge on the rally scene in 1998.

It was allocated to subsidiary company Bell's Services of Westerhope, Newcastle carrying the standard red and cream livery. Next, in 1951, it was returned to the main United fleet as BG 216. In 1959, the bus was transferred from United to subsidiary company Durham District Services, with whom it ran in green and cream livery, numbered DB 216. It was sold for preservation in 1968.
