Abuse can be:
Physical - hitting, smacking, nipping, force feeding, biting, sexual contact which he/she has not or cannot consent to.
Verbal - swearing, teasing, name calling.
Emotional - bullying, threats, degrading punishments, withholding love and affection.
Neglect is a form of abuse - leaving someone without food, heating or refusing to take car of a person's bathing needs.
Financial - abuse can also occur if a person has been persuaded to enter into a financial agreement which he/she has not or cannot consent to - e.g. tricking a person into giving away money. |
