This terms Topic
Our topic for this half term is 'PEOPLE WHO HELP US'. We have had a visit from the School Patrol Warden, she used a lovely range of props and books to teach the children how to keep safe on the roads.
We have followed this visit with lots of activities within the nursery to reinforce this lesson. |  |

Visit from Zoolab
| We have had a visit from Zoolab. They bought a lovely range of creatures for the children to learn about. We saw gerbils, rats, snakes, toads, bearded dragons, rabbits, spiders and a lovely dog. All of the children enjoyed this experience and learnt how they can care and help the animals that they see. We have followed this visit with lots of work in the nursery. |  |

Bob the Builder
We have done a lot of work about builders. We have used a range of props in the nursery to help the children to make sense of the world around them. We have used yellow hard hats, bricks and a range of builders tools including spirit levels, brick moulds and trowels for the children to build with in the sand trays. The children have had the opportunity to add water to the sand to change the consistency.

Miss Polly had a Dolly
| Our role play area has been changed into a hospital. Children have the opportunity to help each other in a realistic role play environment. We follow up this play with lots of stories and discussions about hospitals. |  |

Fire Engines
| We have arranged for the fire brigade to visit our nursery. Photographs will follow soon! However the children have been very busy learning all about the fire brigade. |  |
