Step this Way Appalachian Cloggers
We are a group of dancers and musicians who perform Appalachian Step dancing, songs and tunes at various events throughout the year. Our band, the 'Bones Creek Band' attend our weekly practices and events to enable us to dance to live music.
This year we have appeared at Durham Folk Party, Sedbergh Folkfest,Ryedale Folk Weekend, Darlington Spring Thing, Saltburn and Redcar Folk Festival,Sunderland Folk Festival as well as events at the Weardale Railway.
We welcome new adult members, male or female, with an interest in keeping this traditional form of entertainment alive!
In 2006 we obtained an 'Awards for All' lottery grant which has enabled us to purchase performance outfits, a portable acoustic dance floor and PA system.
Some members also attend Gateshead Ceilidh Club Go to:- http://gatesheadnortheastceilidhclub.wetpaint.com
